Liam Coerr is an artist based in Chicago, IL. He creates fine artwork in mixed media exploring the connections between queer & trans identity and body modification.

Liam Coerr is a transmasculine mixed media artist based in Chicago, Illinois. He received his B.F.A. in Fiber and Material Studies from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2023. Liam’s work has been shown in a number of gallery exhibitions including at CRAFT NITE Collective, SAIC Galleries, Western Exhibitions, The Carrack Modern Art, and in the Tom of Finland Emerging Artist Competition. His work is included in the Joan Flasch Artists’ Book Collection. His art film “telehealth top surgery” was an official selection of Reeling Film Festival 2024 and will be screened at Chicago Filmmakers.

Liam has designed and executed two community mural projects in his home state of North Carolina. He worked as a Teacher’s Assistant at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago from 2022-2023. He currently instructs sewing classes for adults in Evanston, IL.
